For our course project, we chose to prototype a new application on Facebook called “Compatibility”.  It includes a short questionnaire when the user first adds the application so that we (as the system) can match the user up with whom they are compatible with. 

When we considered the design for this application, we chose to stick with the general layout of Facebook, so it would be consistent with everything else.  Within the application, we made tabs up at the top for easy navigation throughout. 

The user trials were successful, mainly because of that fact that we kept the design of our application consistent with the other Facebook applications, so that it wouldn’t confuse the user, and we would, in turn, get high usability results.

For the future of our system, we think that a more detailed questionnaire would be beneficial by providing our users with more specific results.  We also thought that a chat option would further encourage Facebook Compatibility users to connect with each other on a more personal level.
